Martian Myriax Destroyer

Today’s post is a model I printed and painted a little while ago.  this is a Mechanicum Minotaur Proxy for the Ordo Destructor lists.  It’s a lovely model and a will need to print a couple more.  It’s painted in the traditional Red of the Martian forces as it generally will be accompanying my maniples (from the loyalist elements) of Legio Tempestus to war.

I can fully recommend this model as it printed nearly perfectly.  The only issue was my fault as I didn’t get the orientation correct and there was a bulge that needed sanding.

The model was printed on my Mars 2 Pro and AnyCubic Mono X.

Printer problems

So my printer is having problems.  Grrrr....

This the quality of prints I'm getting at the moment.

This is the last thing I managed to print.

I finally assembled shipping container number 2.  Here's what it looks like.

Zone Mortalis, Part 3

Latest work on the navigator room.  Tonight has been mainly playing with arches and circles.

Zone Mortalis, Part 3

Strike while the iron is hot as they say...

Printed a revised tile (mkIII).  Thoughts and comments?

On and Zzzzz, it's not a cat.  Bigger picture... (Note this is only the rear part)

Edit, started working with Lady Atia on a little project.  This is the first baby steps.

Zone Mortalis, Part Two

Some examples of the finish of 3D printed items.  The counter sunk holds didn't turn out right.  I think I need more squish, and yes that's actually the technical term!

100 internet points if you can guess the orange model!

Zone Mortalis, Part One

I've been working on some 3D zone mortalis files to print and here is what I have come up with so far.  It's a rough lay out to give you an idea what the parts will be like.  Once finalised, sub assemblies will be merged for printing.  The floor by the wall sections is in need of the most TLC.  I will be adding pipes to the tops of the wall sections and making removable door sections.

I'm leaving wall sections blank to glue GW and other vendor gubbins to the completed section.

I'm a while away from a test print, but I hope to have something ready soon.

What are your thoughts?

3D printing scifi shipping containers - Part 2

Following from my last post, I've made some progress with the design on the shipping containers.

These are the 'finished' parts, I'm tempted to revise the leg sections as they are maybe a bit leggy and the top rollers are a little redundant at the moment.  I may also narrow the armoured mid sections a little to give the Grimdark™ boxy squareness.

The first print section is on the printer now.  I suspect it will need a little rescaling.

I'm also thinking designing a smaller version of the mid section connector with no legs for small shipping containers.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.
