This is a resin model from ForgeWorld which has sadly in the process of being discontinued. Happily it’s looking to be replaced with a plastic set coming imminently. This is the first of two I currently have for the Sons of Perturabo. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmaLfi-lcRoeLBVh_KF3oJnY24oKsPhNWCxZVvJmRMDGgMrSeFQ_4A5Nv3Lqx1COQU3IBW4GtziD7uwWm_BjYWtG7utvRiHdexqLatYaihnNmOtzUJqFNhNpA0tmyUAJJ9gNKpp2LgZoXodDWNSiq4jv84DBFbZge1DCENND6bFHgb5MI3yqZ2P-_1/s1440/E3F46231-D845-4139-8D81-0A60678CFF1E.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1440" data-original-width="1440" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmaLfi-lcRoeLBVh_KF3oJnY24oKsPhNWCxZVvJmRMDGgMrSeFQ_4A5Nv3Lqx1COQU3IBW4GtziD7uwWm_BjYWtG7utvRiHdexqLatYaihnNmOtzUJqFNhNpA0tmyUAJJ9gNKpp2LgZoXodDWNSiq4jv84DBFbZge1DCENND6bFHgb5MI3yqZ2P-_1/s320/E3F46231-D845-4139-8D81-0A60678CFF1E.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivsOe5hQqv-QFvbe_ENCdDpd9WfaSOafweQOPFsxCLgBhBI8LTenjOJWHJrli-nTRW4aGCPRoryu8dOViPLmxDs-YmMeAkgrDC78QGAIzS3dDnISd_VcTexAgeSL_OcVFSWU1LBwL89bDJ8A0yA10YB2Z5gamMlc0_g6h-5TEDAwlHqLLHwT5WNfvT/s1440/A697536B-8D38-4BF2-8802-28FF1A5B370A.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1440" data-original-width="1440" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivsOe5hQqv-QFvbe_ENCdDpd9WfaSOafweQOPFsxCLgBhBI8LTenjOJWHJrli-nTRW4aGCPRoryu8dOViPLmxDs-YmMeAkgrDC78QGAIzS3dDnISd_VcTexAgeSL_OcVFSWU1LBwL89bDJ8A0yA10YB2Z5gamMlc0_g6h-5TEDAwlHqLLHwT5WNfvT/s320/A697536B-8D38-4BF2-8802-28FF1A5B370A.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><p>Again, this has the rusted tracks, black panels, and chevrons to break up the metal. I think it looks pretty good and makes it less all metal. I’m thinking the piece may need a little weathering. Chipping and a bit of streak and grime maybe, but that’s a job for another time.</p><p>The long hobby war continues…</p>Col. I have no relationship with this manufacturer. The main criticism I have is the lack of information about the model. There where no internal shots, no breakdown of the the parts sold, and no information on supports. I shot the designer a query and he responded really quickly. I also found images on Instagram and the Dark Realms Pateron. This information gave me the confidence to buy the model.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivYxdiy7QinGaRYdsx4FISf4NkN-lP8509-FOazasJp9zeis3iUyem2cuvlIPN5svBtNL0Wu3syI3PF7_JgxFma0aEUhb4JjYfkRo8dcWZtjOhFqPh5wVyVbfyXixTc5ehfbVHIHstyX0//" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="720" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivYxdiy7QinGaRYdsx4FISf4NkN-lP8509-FOazasJp9zeis3iUyem2cuvlIPN5svBtNL0Wu3syI3PF7_JgxFma0aEUhb4JjYfkRo8dcWZtjOhFqPh5wVyVbfyXixTc5ehfbVHIHstyX0//" width="240" /></a></div><br />The model comes in three configurations.<p></p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>A solid model</li><li>A split model (by floor) with internal detail and a choice of a full roof or an open attic roof (with an open top).</li><li>A split model (by floor) without internal details</li></ul><p></p><p>I choose to printed the second configuration with a solid roof.</p><p>I used the standard settings of my Prusa I3 MK3S without supports. It could even work in a historical setting if you are not too discerning about complete historical accuracy.</li><li>The file prints very well and looks nice. The overall proportions of the building are on the larger side and I think I could have printed at about 80% and it would still look right. The model in the first shot is a Storm Cast Eternal (from my 11 year olds collection). The second is a Skyrim Model which is a 32mm but not heroically scaled so are a bit more realistically proportioned.</li><li>Stringing was minimal and will be easy cleaned and fixed. </li><li>Details are sharp and will paint well. </li><li>The model is split at clear points so the detail is not affected and there are no obvious join lines.</li><li>The locator pins are large and robust so are unlikely to break through normal use.</li><li>The door has a hinge, so can open and close.</li></ul><p></p><p>Negatives:</p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>As initially stated at the start of the review, the lack of information about the model is the main negative point.</li><li>Cost, its a fairly expensive model, my opinion is the overall quality balances this out however. It was an amazing day and it’s mostly arranged by the Battle Bunny And TOC founder Drake Seta and partner (Instagram Honey_the_Destroyer89), though myself and some others also helped with Scenery.</p><p>The event started Friday with a set up and then a drink in the bar, followed by setting up titans and then a view around the event room. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-C4mwZg-GRgKsiiVSskrF2o3JgnF4-MDRi1Y6VrRih5KSZuxflIHUMAIZO55Rpgd4d4UrmbfAxnl_QOj6NcaODAAtxdJlxtBH08h4MkVWhmx9PAZruODQlDzETfSGGtUndnA4GulVM7o/s2048/11519FF2-33B5-44CC-974B-7C70749EC201.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-C4mwZg-GRgKsiiVSskrF2o3JgnF4-MDRi1Y6VrRih5KSZuxflIHUMAIZO55Rpgd4d4UrmbfAxnl_QOj6NcaODAAtxdJlxtBH08h4MkVWhmx9PAZruODQlDzETfSGGtUndnA4GulVM7o/s320/11519FF2-33B5-44CC-974B-7C70749EC201.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><p>Above: The gaming mat. </p><p>Below: part of the initial set up. Bellator Ferrum managed to bring the shields down on a trio of Warhounds, opening the way for a Mortis warlord to turn two of them into slag a moment later. One of my Warlords targeted an enemy Titan with its volcano cannon. It missed and the blast scattered (3 foot) onto an enemy knight banner. Unfortunatley, it also nearly wiped out an allied knights banner too! The final toll was both warhounds lost, one to a lancer, the second to the ordo sinister!</p><p>In another part of the battlefield my Makabius lancers, working in support of a Mortis Reaver, managed to bring down a Warhound. Another amazing kill on my Legio Banner.</p><p>It was a really fun event and I can’t wait until the 4th September when we are running an exhibition game as the Greeting from the Warp event near Northampton. Titan Owners Club members are an amazing bunch of people!!</p>Col. That's 6 Centuries of 80 Legionaries. To give myself a chance I have decided to do this in 6mm, which incidentally is the scale I started miniature collecting ~30 years ago (Space Marines / Adeptus Titanicus).<br />
<br />
With this in mind, have bought a selection of miniatures from Baccus Miniatures. I love these little sculpts, so lovely and tiny. I have made a start on these models, getting the first Century quite a way along. I've also been working on the horsemen. So I have to purchase two more centuries and another set of ballistas. <br />

He is based off the Ahriman model. I have only really changed three things:<br />
- The casting hand swapped for a plasma pistol<br />
- The removal of the horns<br />
- The head swap<br />
<br />
Still really like the options this guy gives.<br />

I've finally decided, after much procrastination it must be said, that I will paint this as a member of Legio Atarus. The Firebrands 🔥. I've started on the armour plates, and this is where I'm up too.<br />

I really love this model, the absolute utility and functionality of the look. He really does look like a one man Army. He's equipped with two volkite's, as with the number of dice he can roll, I'd rather he didn't die from gets hot rolls.<br />

A Leviathan Dreadnought. I've gone for a fixed armament of, twin volkites, storm cannon and claw with melta gun.<br />
<br />
I love this model and have a second in a bath right now. I originally had this earmarked for my Iron Warriors, but now I'm not so sure. The second will get magnetised for sure.<br />

He's pretty much done, but I may add a black band to the gold line. It's not quite popping for me at the moment.<br />

They are built from the Plastic MKIV set, with a Thousand Sons head and a Blade Occult sword. The hands were cut at the wrist, I've saved the arms for adding hand flamers or plasma pistols. Hand flamers would probably be lethal in Zone Mortalis games. <br />

<br />
So I got a set of Dark Imperium and decided to paint up the Primaris Space Marines as my exsisting Chapter of Red Scorpions. The fluff behind this Chapter is some of the strongest around, certainly in my opinion better than the fluff generated by the Black Library, or main studio teams these days.<br />
<br />
Here's pictures of the first marine.<br />

<br />
While I like the models, I don't think I will be replacing my marines with these guys. I'm not a fan of the grav tank, or the Dreadnought. I do like the infantry and characters though.<br />
<br />
Are you getting some? How will you paint them up?<br />

I haven't bought the full sets as I have a load of Marines from Betrayal at Calth (B@C) sets and have marines available to use.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiihEa9Dj91202ARt6HdEA-sxF_ByT_JV7USa33epNSlZwbsfw0IPu-taPGRXwZU3ZDnoU87NF6QogIXq3eI0ErTaM-B34WIU5br6i2JYGcxRzuRoEVlTTOAeUeUtoxCg466q_Cd3SDHmA/s1600/IMG_5513.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiihEa9Dj91202ARt6HdEA-sxF_ByT_JV7USa33epNSlZwbsfw0IPu-taPGRXwZU3ZDnoU87NF6QogIXq3eI0ErTaM-B34WIU5br6i2JYGcxRzuRoEVlTTOAeUeUtoxCg466q_Cd3SDHmA/s320/IMG_5513.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
The cover shows the models painted in the superior metallic red scheme most Forgeworld Thousand Sons are painted in. The parts not included in the set are thoughtfully greyed out.<br />
<br />

The contents of the pack, is twenty parts. Each weapon set is in a unique pose, but is otherwise identical.<br />

The Cabal assembles very nicely with super glue. Here is the finished squad.<br />

As soon as I saw Ahriman I knew I wanted a Thousand Sons Army. This has just been reinforced by Amon, the Sekhmet Terminators, and of course Magnus. With this in mind I have painted the first Marine. It is always wise to trial your paint scheme on a model prior to committing to an army.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here's the pictures:</div>

I love these models and think they really capture the essence of the Thousand Sons Legion before their fall.<br />
<br />
The set comes in one of the white boxes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZMMv0x-jBBum2q4R26OqyItJbbROxz6ohIDBlLzpc3dsFMb_Nj1vry0yHm-vv7PSKuPTMDl6IM90eZQFhKQM5n622x-4HTInl8ouztkdYA-TZFCFSg0X7UHGgyZbAj8RKJJZx_VFe_2Y/s1600/IMG_5495.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZMMv0x-jBBum2q4R26OqyItJbbROxz6ohIDBlLzpc3dsFMb_Nj1vry0yHm-vv7PSKuPTMDl6IM90eZQFhKQM5n622x-4HTInl8ouztkdYA-TZFCFSg0X7UHGgyZbAj8RKJJZx_VFe_2Y/s320/IMG_5495.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The set comes with a lovely printed instruction sheet. Nice colour reference too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1yk3Eu6X-V7DCDCMYzIUB9yzWosccG_qxcmE6vAFt1_kuZSWwFVmayOcelu4YrguQ0eCNo7phevUKfq9fl7WKJAessvhg8og09GW5RZSRZXoBPNV3g_DgUUafqRkxd_8eSdudUBwKf0M/s1600/IMG_5501.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1yk3Eu6X-V7DCDCMYzIUB9yzWosccG_qxcmE6vAFt1_kuZSWwFVmayOcelu4YrguQ0eCNo7phevUKfq9fl7WKJAessvhg8og09GW5RZSRZXoBPNV3g_DgUUafqRkxd_8eSdudUBwKf0M/s320/IMG_5501.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
There's a parts list, but really, on three resin parts per marine, it's not a massive challenge. There is an error on the instructions. For some reason it tells you to only add a single shoulder pad per arm. This is clearly wrong looking at the pictures on either the front or rear of instruction sheets.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFqXwzhSkjuB3nWj2hLKgB-GZr3yxsQhINoJXupGHnuwXtNIH7zO9Y6XcSEWLtplIzFAjjPGOnRA55kuA9MHf0rm2UG6hp0ykONkUFQIvy60oJY9oaUUFmTdFEZWXAgvA0N0OBRnNxVcQ/s1600/IMG_5502.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFqXwzhSkjuB3nWj2hLKgB-GZr3yxsQhINoJXupGHnuwXtNIH7zO9Y6XcSEWLtplIzFAjjPGOnRA55kuA9MHf0rm2UG6hp0ykONkUFQIvy60oJY9oaUUFmTdFEZWXAgvA0N0OBRnNxVcQ/s320/IMG_5502.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The resin parts are nicely stored in a plastic Forgeworld bag.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWJg1j0-JSjkCfomHRwTytR_RuNU-SJvSgMwq5g8klvFt41FoNRYW5ZgZLpZ3fsVllpEUQNQ-ltZwtTboa0xeEtbvJbuLnyQXccmE105x0NxMJdKjI6-droVEZJ3OjaqAj10hSkZKyIyk/s1600/IMG_5505.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWJg1j0-JSjkCfomHRwTytR_RuNU-SJvSgMwq5g8klvFt41FoNRYW5ZgZLpZ3fsVllpEUQNQ-ltZwtTboa0xeEtbvJbuLnyQXccmE105x0NxMJdKjI6-droVEZJ3OjaqAj10hSkZKyIyk/s320/IMG_5505.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The resin parts laid out. They look good, but have an annoying shim on the torso between the gates. It is easy to clean if careful, but easy to mess up.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I purchased this at Warhammerfest yesterday. It's a nice looking model who will fit well in my Heresy Thousand Sons force. <br />
<div><br />
</div><div>Generally, I prefer generic characters for battles, as special characters should be reserve for only the most apocalyptic of battles, but I have the current Thousand Sons Triumvirate (Magnus, Ahriman, and Amon), mainly while I wait for generic Thousand themed characters.</div><div><br />

Over the last week or so i finally cracked out and looked properly at the models. The 'ships' are all pre painted, so you get a good looking fleet out of the box. <br />
<br />
The squadrons are not however, so I decided to paint these up. Here's the results!<br />

<br /></div>
<div>
First up, a bit about why I love Fallout...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
People who I talk computer games know I love this series. I got Fallout (1) on the strength of the PC Gamer review on the day of release. The dark comedy was great, and got better in Fallout 2 (who can forget Sleeping with a gangsters wife and daughter and then steal everything in his safe). The isometric, turn based system added to the joy. I could never really get into fallout tactics though. Then Black Isle went under and I was Heart broken... </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Skip forward too many years, and the owners of my other favourite role playing franchise bought the rights (ok, so the legal side was far more complicated than this), and Fallout 3 was born. I played mainly on the the Xbox, and It took me a couple of attempts to get into this game (probably because I was still a pic gamer at heart) but I started to love this too, even if the black humour was less good. I played this far too much in fact, hundreds of hours indeed.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Then at last Fallout 4 was born. The suits of powered armour finally looked the way they should. I could rebuild the wasteland. Build sentry guns. Spend HOURS AND DAYS looking for wood and cement! Love it still. Play it still. I have a Pip-Boy dammit!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So since day one I wanted a Miniatures game. Let me just say the renders released look awesome.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It's stated game model count is from 3 to 30 models. The scale is in 32mm scale, so will be 40k compatible. The company doing it have some successful games, you may have heard of infinity.....</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>

I've been steadily working on these guys now. I have to stay the models are fantastic, but some of the casts have been a little dodgey. Overall, the models are quick to clean, glue and assemble.<br />
<br />
this is where I'm up too. The models with basing done still need clump foliage and grass.<br />
