Well, been a while since my last update. I've block coloured and dipped my first halbardier. I mostly like the effects, need to matt varnish to see total effect because at the moment it's very shiny.

I'm working on these other halbardiers to get the company ready.

I've also done a group of five warhammer skeletons. Less impressed with these. I dipped them in soft shade first let is dry, then strong shade. This is the result, not happy with the application of shade.

So I did a dark shade one, and

a soft shade one.
Personally I like the soft shade. It looks nicer in real life particulary on the weapons.

Ok, No delivery yet, but I thought I'd get the ball rolling. First up a small company of WFB Empire Halbardiers ready for base coating. Bases are pre-sanded.Next up a Flames of War Panzergrenadier Headquarters. Just the infantry stands at the moment. The Half tracks will follow! First I scored the based, and used milliput to smooth the based.Need to get a better camera. It's ok for larger miniatures but isn't man enough for the small FOW.

More to follow!!

Hi and welcome to my first blog entry.

Up until now i've been a massive impluse buyer. I don't as a rule see that theres a major problem with this, if I could only finish them. As it is I have something like 500 Games Workshop miniatures, most unpainted and many still on sprue!!!

With the birth of my daughter in February, I've decided to set a good example to her and finish projects.

I've been searching around the web for inspiration and easier techniques, to help get models finished. I found a Company called "The Army Painter" which sells several types of dips. I've bought a tin of each, and will try them out on our next project.

I'll update when they arrive!!!
